Thanks Mike for the information about the proper care of gravestones.
Another good site to look at is : interment.net. I keep a printed copy
of the information in a reference manual along with listings of
cemeteries, funeral homes and miscellaneous information related to that
part of geneology.
Forgot to add that I use a whisk broom to gently remove the grass
clippings away from the stone.
