Angie -

Most birth records are maintained by the local church parish.

To locate the parish, go to: http://www.rootsweb.com/~polwgw/parish.html

For help in formulating a letter requesting a certificate, go to: http://pgsa.org/refdesk.htm

There will be more information forthcoming from other list members.

Good luck with your search.

Hi Listers
I'm new to this list. Maybe someone can help me please. My grandmother Agnes Reinsch) was born in Schlesien (Silesia) on the 29/9/1896. She died in Australia on the 27/9/1985. We don't have a birth certificate. Does anyone know where I could obtain a birth certificate in Poland.
Thanks
Angie
