Hi list -
This is also to add on to Alan's helpful tips. Before contacting
the ancestral village priest in Poland, try the FHC (Family History
Center), which is the LDS church. Not all priests respond to
inquiries, sometimes incomplete information is received, and
it does take a long time for them to respond sometimes since
they are busy.
I received a certificate from a priest in Poland, but it wasn't
really helpful since he did not provide the baby's grandparents
names, and the father was named Jan.
