Barbara,
It seems unusual that people born in Krakow would move to Warsaw.
Do you have documents that state Katherine (Katarzyna) and Anna were
born in Krako~w? If not then you need to locate documents that will lead
you to those records in Poland.
How about emigration records that show the arrivals for both women?
It sounds like you need to start by locating naturalization records in
the county where the women settled. Look for the Petition for
Naturalization and the Declaration of Intent. Hopefully those documents
will:
1) tell you where they were born
2) tell you what port they arrived in
3) tell you at least the year they arrived
4) tell you who they were coming to in the U.S.
5) tell you who they left in Poland

Once you find out the ports of arrival and the years of arrival you can
locate the Passenger Arrival Records (ship manifest) and go through them
locating not only these two women but their relatives also.

You might want to borrow or buy the book, _Poland Roots_ by Rosemary
Chorzempa. It's a great how to book that will lead you along the way in
your research.

BTW Your post was pretty short!

Her sister was Anna Wisniewski and she was also born in Krakow in 1887. I was told the family lived in Warsaw. Katherine immigrated in 1901 and lived and died in Milwaukee along with her sister Anna. Anna immigrated in 1905 from Lipna along with her much younger brother Jan and sister Stefania. They went to Detroit to be with their father Josef. I did not find them on the 1910 census index. Katherine's death notice lists a brother Stanley. How do I find information on Jan, Stefania, Stanley, and Josef? I have information and records on Katherine and Anna and their life in Milwaukee. Sorry this is so long.
Thank you.
