Debbie
Thank you for the website www.calle.com/world/belarus it is a big help.
Asking my Mom to spell something from 1940's and even the documents like
the social security applications I have gotten here in the US have
spellings all over the place. I took what you gave me on the web site the
city Samojlovszczyna and went the next step. The village I found where I
think my Mom was born is DRABOVSHCHYZNA the 52N 26E longitude & latitue
are close and the spelling looks like what my Mom told me phonetically. She
said she lived near a church on the corner. I looked on the internet for
information of Drabovshchyzna and found none. I want to confirm that it is
a village and perhaps pictures or a write-up about it. Where do you suggest
I go further for this information?

am having trouble locating it on a map. I have not been able to find on the
internet smaller cities of village maps for Belarus. I am going to be
visiting my Mom this weekend and am going to take the maps I have and
hopefully she may be able to help me pinpoint the location. I am open to
any suggestions you may have.

something like I spelled. I would also like information on the city. Thank
you
