Does anyone on the list have any recent experience with the ferry system from Sweden to Estonia?

I am thinking about traveling (with a car) from Sweden to Estonia on the ferry this spring, and driving through the Baltic countries to Poland . Apparently there used to be a direct route from Stockholm to Tallinn but I don't know if that is still operating (since the disastrous sinking a few years ago) nor can I figure out the cost. There are routes indicated which go in "legs" from Sweden through Helsinki, Finland, and then to Tallinn, Estonia.

I checked a website and was unable to actually figure out schedules and costs. If anyone has made this journey, I would very much like to hear about the experience and whether or not you would recommend it (as compared with driving through Germany to Poland).
