Carolyn,
I hate to put up another brick wall but this isn't the best way to
locate living relatives in Poland, unless perhaps the surname is so rare
that there were less than 10 people with it in 1990. There is a more
recent "listing" of surnames in Poland. It is available on CD through
the Polish Genealogical Society of America. It is current as of Sept.
2002.
http://www.pgsa.org oops, I think I raised your hopes again.
The best way to find living relatives in Poland is by using an old
address. Perhaps someone in your family used to write to relatives and
you just happen to have their old address book. Maybe someone else in
the family can help with this. Since you don't the village where your
great grandfather was born you will need to go backwards and then come
forwards.
You should really read the book, _Polish Roots_ by Rosemary Chorzempa.
It's a great how-to book that will explain exactly how to look, where to
look and what to look for.
Whether or not you've mentioned your great grandparents' names before on
this list previously, it's good to do it often in your posts. Full
names, dates, places settled, places of birth.
I couldn't tell if your great grandfather's given name was Tomasz or if
that was his surname.
