(Thank you Debbie for posting this web site and thank you Stephen for the tremendous amount of work you've put into it the links/data)
I read all your exchanges daily but I pop in here only occasionally to pick Debbie's brain and/or ask a general question of the list?
In September I submitted a FOIA/PA request, with more than to the Immigration and Naturalization service office in New York (26 Federal Plaza) for Declaration of Intent and Petition for naturalization records for two uncles only to be told they could not locate either record? I submitted a request for another uncle last month, even included a copy of his Naturalization record issued by Supreme court in Brooklyn in 1939, and was told again, could not locate?
Found the following entries at Step 1, Naturalization records, Brooklyn 1907-1924 which I believe to be my three uncles, Stanislaw for sure, because his record is recorded in Pet Vol. 74. I went the appeals route through Washjington DC office for Stanislaw's record, which I wish I hadn't done now because I could have resubmitted to New York office with additional Declaration Volume and Page information.
My questions are: One, if I strike out again on Stanislaw, would I have any success writing to the Clerk of Kings County federal or State courts and Two, does anyone have a good address for the Brooklyn courts?
