Delores,
A wojewo~dztwo is a province in Poland. Szczecin was the name of a city
and was also the name of the province.

LDS library does not have everything on film. All they know is what they
have on film. You won't find records after 1945 on film because those
records would be too current. If you check with the Urza~d Stanu
Cywilnego at the gmina Szczecin you will probably find the records
(since 1945) that you are trying to locate. However, like the US Poland
is protective of those records. If you send in a request, you should
probably also send info showing how you are related to those Davids.
Your request will have to be in Polish.
Here is the address:
USC Szczecin
pl. Armii Krajowej 1
70-456 Szczecin
Poland

If the Davids were Lutheran than you should contact the Lutheran church
in Szczecin. This web site should give you information that will help
you determine where to write:

No I don't know when they went to the Island of Sylt It must have been after 1945 because he was still in Stettin when he wrote his son was killed, but he didn't mention which one. I'm searching for Kurt's Kids Marriage or death records I have all the birth records of Kurt's kids and if they were born in 1934,1942 and 1930 they may be around somewhere. yes, I have Kurt's marriage record Dec.28,1927. I was born in 1925 so if he's a healthy person he might be alive too. I'm looking for Kurt's kids marriage records or death records. I checked the LDS Library I found birth records and they had nothing after
1945 at the LDS Library, I went there for two weeks. I searched

I have not contacted any Archives in Poland (Szczecin) The LDS Library told me they have all the records from there. I would be happy to pay someone who lives near there to search for me. Thank you Debbie for your information.I appreciate all the help everyone is so wonderful. Delores Brayn

I'm lost I can't find a death or marriage record or where to search.
