Hi Listers,
Have found two papers among mums belongings
Two work certificates ??? I know the gist- I want the exact, umlaut as ~
She was abducted from the streets of Warsaw in 1941 and sent to a slave
labour camp.
This is what is stated
Rheinmetall-Borsig -Aktiengesellschaft
Fenruf Eimke 36
Arbeitsbescheinigung
Ellerndorf ii/ Ebstorf
26.6.46
Hiermit bescheinigen wir, dass die polnische Staatsangeh~o~rige Aleksandra
Born, geb (date) vom 29.5.1941 bis 30.4.1945 bei und besch~a~ftigt.
Note of interest -Mum also told me how to sabotage bombs as she did it on
many occassions and how to spike field artillery. She smiled serenely when
she told me before she passed away (August 2005).
The second paper belonged to dad, he spent some time in prison, received
beatings and sent to Germany- (He was a naughty boy, unfortunately he rarely
spoke of his ordeals before he passed away in 1978)
This is what is stated
B~u~ssing-Nag Flugmotorenwerke GMBH Braunschweig-Querum
Arbeits-Bescheinigung
Herr Teodor Lotocki geb. am (date) zu Isrhenshass (handwriting difficult to
interpret)
ist bei uns vom 7.3.41 bis 7.3.45 als Maff(probably double s)inmxxxxxxbutor
j(or )g strufur
besch~a~ftigt gewesen und ordnungsgem~a~B ausgetreten.
This last line has a pen line through it.
Note of interest - dad then joined CMWS/CMLO with the British Army and was
discharged to emigrate to Australia. In Australia he worked for the
Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation as an engine fitter/mechanic on the French
Sabre jets.
Any help appreciated
Regards
Wal
