Bruce,

Theres a photo of Miss Gurney on the Christian Police Association site at
www.cpauk.org - follow the history link and there is also a brief outline
of her work. I entered her name into www.uk.altavista.com and it brought up
a number of pages about a Gurney family who were leading/important Quakers
in the 19 century.

I would be grateful if you would let me know if you ID Gurney in your photo.
