Angie,
Thank you for writing about maps on-line. My father had a town his
grandfather told him about and although he had an Old Polis map, were
unable to find it. Using the shtetlSeeker site led the way. We got
several varitations but the end result leads us pretty much to the area we
need. Maybe!
Is anyone familiar with a small town in Germany called ZACKERICKER LOOSE
with coordinates 5247 1413?
Or in Poland a town at 5249 1415 called ZACKERICK in German and SIERKIERKI
in Polish?
I am searching the name of EMIL HERMAN KLEMKE, son of Frederich ( real
sp?) KLEMKE who left this area in the 1860's-early 1870's. Specific info
to follow in years to come!
Thank you all for your help.
By the way, In Japan, we pay for regular telephone use of the Internet.
This can really run up the bill. do you all have free access to the Web as
is rumored. If so, lucky. If not, I feel better!
See you,
Amy (KLEMKE) Uehara, Japan
