Hi:
I do believe that you will find your people in films for Strasburg, West
Prussia. Jellen is a smaller village whose inhabitants attend the church at
Strasburg. Strasburg would be sometimes called the 'mother church' meaning the
one in the center like a hub. It would have been impossible to keep up a church
in each tiny village. (This information from Atlantic Bridge to Germany- Volume
8, including Brandenburg, East and West Prussia, Pomerania and Posen). The films
I mentioned would be at Salt Lake City, but you could order them from your local
Family History Center.
There were 2 Jellens listed, but this is the one you need.
