Christa,
I did a little more checking on the above places you mentioned,
plus Sierakow.
One correction: The Kargowa I found is not in Kr. Friedeberg,
(which is further north), but in Kr. Meseritz, just across the Posen
border (I found it on my 1:200,000 road map). I found no Linkow in the
neighborhood, but the closest is a Lipnik at 51 57 N and 15 57' E (9.1
mi. SSE of Kargowa). Probably Meyer's Ort would show a more likely
candidate.
I learned that Bucharzewo and Zirke are distinct, and that
"Sierakow" which you mentioned is not a Kreis but the Polish form of
Zirke (Sierakow, acc. to Shtetlseeker, is located at 52 39' N and
16 deg. 6' E, 2.4 miles SSW of Bucharzewo). In our Posen town list the
town called "Burhar?zenio" should really be "Bucharzewo", on map 274,
part 4D.
I trust this will get you further along...
