I'm replying to the list, as others may not know how to use this tool...

You can use http://www.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm
to find distance.

First get the coordinates of one place:
LOBSENS
(LOBZENICA)
5316 1716
V
Poland

and then use the "Advanced Feature", plugging in the coordinates of the
first place, when finding the second place...

BERLIN
5402 1027
N
Germany
283.8 miles WNW of 5316 1716
BERLIN
5231 1324
N
Germany
169.2 miles WSW of 5316 1716

In this case, two results were returned, but looking at any may with
longitude markings will tell us that the Berlin that we want is the more
southerly one at 52 31. So the straight-line distance is 170 miles,
probably something over 200 miles by road.

I don't have modern physical maps of the Berlin and areas east of Berlin
(you can use www.mapquest.com or www.mapblast.com and www.pilot.pl to look
yourself).
I wouldn't be surprised if your driving route involves Polish highway #22
along the north bank of the Notec~ / Netze river to Wal~cz / Deutsche
Krone, then #10 to Wyrzysk / Wirsitz, then north to Lobzenica / Lobsens.
