Does anyone know if there are available any emigration lists or registries for the Poznan area?

My g-grandfather emigrated from there and I am trying to find out if and/or where he might have had to register before he emigrated or during his travels to Hamburg from where he left. I am awaiting arrival of the police records of Hamburg to my local LDS, and a kind soul on this list is keeping an eye out for me while going through the Bromberg emigration register. But I am trying to find out if there is any place else I might check.

On his Hamburg emigration entry, his last residence (but not necessarily birthplace) was Beestland in Pommerania. I am going to get that registry (Pommerania emigrations) from the LDS, but I am trying to cover all the bases.

PS - my most heartfelt thanks to all on the list who helped me discover the name of the place Beestland. It is one more step closer to discovering from where in Poland my g-grandfather came. Pardon the paraphrase, but "many 'heads' made light work"!! :-)
