Although the reply of the Prussian Archive at Berlin (Translated Below) is
not a help in my search perhaps it may help one of you searching in the same
area ......the url is ....

I still am working with a friend on the ground at Bydgoszcz to determine
exactly what the records they refer to actually contain ...I will update you
as I progress
I hope this is helping others who have hit the wall and are searching for
alternatives to destroyed church records......if you have a better idea
......please advise

Im Bestand GStA PK, II. HA Genera1direktorium, WestpreuBen und Netzedistrikt,
Materien, Tit. 85 sind Steuerlisten der landlichen Bevolkerung -sogenannte
Kontributionskataster von der Landesaufnahme 1772n3 -und im Bestand GStA PK,
XIV. HA WestpreuBen, Rep. 18i Regierung Marienwerder deren spatere
Steuerfortschreibungen tiberliefert. In den Kontributionskatastern sind die
Ortschaften Dreidorf, Exin, Slupi und Znin erfaBt, Fortschreibungen liegen
lediglich nur vom Ort Birkenfelde aus der Zeit zwischen 1782-1788 vor. Bei
einer
ersten kursorischen Aktendurchsicht konnte in der jeweiligen tabellarischen
Dorfaufnahme der Name Piechorowski oder Piechurowski nicht festgestellt
werden.
Es gibt auBerdem keine sonstigen personlichen Daten wie Geburt, Alter,
Familienstand, Herkunft oder Verbleib nach spaterem Weggang. Sofern Sie
dennoch
eine Kopierung dieser Unterlagen wtinschen, erwarte ich Thre Rtickantwort.
Die einzelnen Dorfaufnahmen sind samtlich in deutscher Handschrift erfa8t und
haben einen unterschied1ichen Umfang, desha1b kann vorab die genaue Kostenhohe
nicht genannt werden. Auf jeden Fa1l ware mit erheblichen Kosten zu rechnen,
ca.
30 Kopien pro Dorfaufnahme [Kennziffer M+RP4 = 0,50 Euro +0,30 Euro x 30,
siehe
Preisliste].
Anmerken mochte ich noch, dass sich unser Archiv nicht mit der Erstellung bzw.
Ftihrung von Familienstammbaumen oder Verwandtschaftstafeln sowie der
Entstehung
oder Schreibweise von
Familiennamen befasst.
Diese Auskunft vom Geheimen Staatsarchiv PreuBischer Kulturbesitz ist

In the inventory, GStA (that could be the abbreviation for property tax
office,
Grundsteueramt) PK, II. HA Generaldirektorium, Westpreussen and Netze (that
is a
river) district, Materien (county ?) Tit. 85 is documented the tax lists of
the
agricultural population, so-called Kontributionskataster of the land survey
1772
& 3, and in the inventory GStA PK, XIV. HA West Prussia, rep. 18i government
Marienwerder is documented their later tax payments.
In the Kontributionskatastern the villages Dreidorf, Exin, Slupi and Znin are
documented. Updates are present only for the village Birkenfelde from the time
between 1782-1788. On a first orientating(cross reading) file review the name
Piechorowski or Piechurowski could not be found in the respective village
listing. Also there are not other personal data such as birth, age, family
status, origin or the whereabouts after a later move.
If nevertheless a copying of these documents is desired, I expect your
response.
The individual village documents are completely in German handwriting and
have a
different extent, therefore I cannot estimate exact costs. In any case
substantial costs should be expected, approx. 30 copies (I guess he means
sheets) per village list [ index M+RP4 = 0.50 Euro + 0.30 Euro x 30, see
price
list ].
Still I like to mention that our archive is not involved/concerned/ with the
creation/production and/or updating of families trees (genealogical tree) or
relatives tables and the evolution/development or way of writing of surnames.
