Lynda,
Perhaps someone has replied to you privately, but since I haven't
seen a response on the Posen list, I will mention that you should be
able to find a passengers list for the NORMA on a film from the National
Archives of Canada (they have passenger lists for Quebec City and
Montreal from 1865-1921-- these would be the normal destinations in
Canada for immigrants to the U.S.; if not there, try Halifax or some of
the other harbor films).
The simplest way to see the film may be to order it from your nearest
LDS Family History Center. Check the on-line Library catalog for the
film number. Otherwise, from the National Archives you can order film
C4528 covering Oct 28, 1872, to Aug. 2, 1874. If you reside in Canada,
you can probably find this film at a nearby university or library, or
you may be able to get it by interlibrary loan.
Hope this is helpful for you. If you have questions or difficulties,
let me know.
Ken Neumann
