Subject: [POSEN] Family TONN from Kreis Kolmar

Hi Joel,
My family connections related to the name TONN :
Carl August HEYN * 31.12.1811 in Vietrower Hauland, Pfarramt Rogasen
+ 1.1. 1857 in Schafskopf, Pfarramt Rogasen
his father was Samuel HEIN ( trying to find information )
his mother was Anne Dorothea WITTE ( trying to find information )
he married
Anna Luise Frieske TONN
* 2.12.1822 in Schafskopf, Pfarramt Rogasen
+ 9. 1.1883 in Seefelde, Pfarramt Rogasen
her father was Christopher TONN ( trying to find information )
her mother was Caroline W. DOERR ( trying to find information )
One of their sons was Gustav Eduard HEIN, my grandfather.
I have no further siblings information.
According to family oral tradition some ancestors were " Vertriebene Salzburger ",
but the names do not match with Salzburg records from 1731.
DOERR can be a name of Austrian Origin.
Else, where and when might they have migrated
from western parts of Germany ?
Joel, I have only part of my grandmothers family
ABRAHAM / KELM / KRUEGER from Rattag(?), Kreis Kolmar
and from Pudewitz and Gnesen and Schwarzenau.
The name TUMM is not known to me,
it does not seem to be in the "Salzburger" list either,
but names were often spelled phonetically, before people could write fluently.
Which church records did you find for Kolmar ?
Regards
Trevor HEIN

Hi Trevor,
I was wondering about the name Tonn, have you found it to be spelled Tumm
in any records?, I was told that was possible?
I have the name Tumm in my family and I have seen the name Tonn and Tumm
in the church records from Kreis, Kolmar, Posen. Please let me know your
thoughts on this.
Regards,
Joel
