What is the origin of the Steinke name? Is there a Family crest? Does it make
any difference if the family came from Russia, Prussia, Austria or any where
else as to the origin of the name of the crest? Some info I have says the
name came from Austria while other info says differently. And why is the name
so popular as shown by just how many Steinkes there are and why its so hard
to find my line of Steinkes.
Still looking for information on my line of Steinkes Hit a road block have
been to many Web pages and emails of Steinkes but still keep trying to find
these missing relatives in the old country. Have Johann and Johanna in USA
but nothing from old country before coming to the USA. but IM still looking
You never know when something will come along Cant find much info on the
area called Dargesloff Germany Prussia (now Poland too) All my family lines
have been Lutherans.
Thanks to all for all the great help I have gotten along the way
