According to the LDS website, the book contains "Citzens of the city of
Birnbaum for the years 1668-1853, Posen, Preußen. Now Miedzychód,
(Miedzychód), Poland."

I am hopeful that the book will contain some information on my Johann Beck
and Amelia Baumgarten who were married in Birnbaum in 1849. Or at least
give me a clue as to where to go next. I've hit a brick wall with these
people, and will go through some trouble to find a book that might contain
some information. But then again, maybe the book will just contain the
upper crust of citizens or something like that.

For all those who responded to my inquiry - thank you. The information on
the holders of copies in the USA was very helpful. I'm looking into getting
the copy from Yale. If I can't, then I may do a day trip (3 hr drive each
way) to Yale to look at the book.
