Greetings fellow researchers
The time has finally come that I need to write the church in Strzelno
(Strelno) Poland to get a start on my grandfather's line. Can someone
supply me with the address for this church. The LDS has only filmed this
church to 1849, so I have a big gap to fill in before I can search those
records. Has anyone had contact with this parish in the past?
What I do know is Franciszek (Frank) KLIMKIEWICZ was born September 29,
1888 in Mlyny, Poland. This village name is listed on WWI draft
registration, WWII draft registration and also on the manifest for his
father Waclaw KLIMKIEWICZ in 1891. I have yet to find a manifest listing
grandpa and his mother Michalina MIEDZINSKA coming to the US later in 1891.
Another thing I would like to know is where would civil registrations
(births, marriages and deaths) have been made for this area.
The family settled in Chicago but I have been told there were cousins in
Ohio. Where I don't know.
Any help would be appreciated.
Arleen
