Frank,
The pronunciation of Tremesal and Trzemzal is not quite the same in Polish,
but in my opinion it is acceptably close. By the way, there is a village
called Krzyzownica 3.7 km north of Trzemzal. This could be the Krzyzawnici
you asked about.
