Sandy: Gerd M must have been asleep when he wrote that Pomerania is now
part of Belarus/Ukraine. (grin) It was roughly between West Prussia and
Posen on the east and Brandenburg and Mecklenburg on the West. See map

You will see county (kreis) Nowogard which Gerd S spoke of on this map.

The other Masow in Schlesien province, Kreis Oppeln which was in
Brandenburg until post WWII is shown here:
