Hi all,

I have a quick question.

Does any one know why a birth would show up in the civil registry for a town in Poland circa 1800's, and not in that town's Catholic church? The civil registry states the parents religion as Catholic, but when I cross referenced the birth in the Catholic church records, it did not appear.

Strange......

Anyway, I would appreciate input on the subject.
