Hello James,

so let me try it with my bungling English:

open the following web-site:
www.genealogienetz.de
1. FOKO
Click on FOKO (Forscherkontakte = researcher contacts)
Click on "Anmeldung" (registration) on the left side.
1. Enter your username, password and repeat your password
2. Persoenliche Daten (personal data)
Anrede: Herr (Mr) Frau (Mrs)
Titel (title)
Vorname (given name)
Nachname (surname)
email address
Staat (country) the last one in the list is USA
PLZ = Postleitzahl (postal code)
Stadt: city

3. Datenschutzerklaerung (explanation of data protection)
I have read the page "data protection/guideline" and agree to it
(this page is available in English)
anmelden (register)

2. GEDBAS
click on the button GEDBAS on the top or the left side of the genealogienetz
website
on the left side you find again "Anmeldung" (registration)
The rest is the same as for FOKO

After you are registrated, you can submit your gedcom files to the database.
Click on "Login" - then on "Hier geht es weiter zum Teilnehmer-Bereich (here
it`s going on to the subscriber part) von GedBas"
Enter your username and password.
Now you are on the welcome page and can find the following buttons:

zum Upload
Meine Dateien (my files) in GedBas
Persönliche Daten ändern (change personal data)
