In this country, draft dodger could not go to military prison because he was not
in military. Don't know about Prussia in 1890s. I would think special prison
for political prisoners, malcontents etc. This was the case in WWII in
Czechoslovakia, political prisoners went to Theresanstad (sp) 100Km north of
Prague.

| large city like Poznan would be placed in a jail (in Rawicz), miles away
| when I am sure there was a prison in Poznan. I suspect that maybe
| particular crimes such as political (revoultionary type people) may have had
| a special prison assigned for them?
