Trish,

You wrote 23 May 2006,

Looking for information on Michael Werner and Wilhelmine Roeske m.
20Dec1848 in Bonkowo, Posen, Preussen. Son Wilhelm Daniel Werner was
born 08Feb1852 in Lobsens, Posen, Preussen. He immigrated about 1872 to
Wisconsin and finally settled in Faribault County, Minnesota. Seeking
information on Michael and Wilhelmine and any additional children.

Trish,

It sounds as though you haven't made full use of the batch numbers on
the IGI of the Familysearch website. For the Evangelical parish of
Lobsens, the number is C999191, which covers baptisms 1840-1874.
Putting in the number and the name WERNER with parents as Michael and
mother as a ROESKE, you get 3 names including the one you mention. The
other two are:

Carolina Justina, born 3 Feb 1850, Lobsens

Friedrich Ernst, born 17 Apr 1854, Lobsens

This didn't seem like many children, and so I checked too for other
children possibly born to this Michael Werner (since the births overlap
for the ones married to Rosina Hanke or Christine Gruhlke, I ignored
them). It seems it is possible Michael was married before to a Louise
Krueger with the following children: 1) Daniel, b 28 Mar 1842

2) Henriette, b 21 Jan 1844 3) Charlotte Wilhelmine, b
14 Feb 1846.

In addition, it is possible Wilhelmine Roeske married again.
Children which would not conflict with those born to Michael Werner and
Wilhelmine (1850-54) or Louise (1842-46) have Friedrich ZINTER or
ZINTHER as father: 1) Edward Julius, b 5 Jun 1862, d 15 Apr 1863, 2)
Henriette Luise ZINTER, b 29 May 1864.

These all, of course, should be double-checked in the films mentioned
in the Familysearch website, #245514, 245515, 245517. The marriages can
be checked too to see if the same Michael Werner is involved as with
Wilhelm Daniel or if the same Wilhelmine Roeske also married a ZINTER /
ZINTHER.

You seem to want to know more about Michael Werner or Wilhelmine
Roeske. You say they were married at Bonkowo. This suggests you or
someone looked at their marriage record. It would probably say the town
where they resided prior to the wedding. You should then go and check
the parish records of that place for further information on Michael or
Wilhelmine. If they resided at Bonkowo, this could be Buchholz,
otherwise called Bukowo, just 2 km. north of Lobsens. Then you should
check the Lobsens records.

I hope that at least some of the above is helpful. If you have
questions or comments, I would glad to read them.
