Subject: land measurement in Poland

Does anyone know what a " Koretz" land measurement meant?
"In a contract, drawn in south Poland between a Polish
count and a group of German settlers, the contract refers
to a Koretz, which is a measurement of land. I am fairly
certain of the spelling, though it might be spelled Korecz/Korescz."
I have checked my sources and find nothing. Can anyone help?
