Dear Pounds Cousins :)
For some time I've been exploring the possibility my great-grandfather
Charles E. Pounds (1852-1910) was the son of Isaac D. Pounds, who appears in
the Franklin County, Ohio (Columbus) census in 1850 and in Clarke County,
Iowa 1860 census with an eight year-old male C. E. Pounds in his family.
Today, from Wayne County, Michigan, where Charles died, I received his death
certificate - father listed as I. D. Pounds; Charles (Ohio-born according to
two MI census entries, Missouri-born on a "father" entry in 1920 (more on
that later!) was born in Columbus, Ohio :)
More to come from an excited Al Dawson in Berea, Ohio :)
