John Powell abt 1665 England, Married: Elizabeth Taylor had:
Thomas Powell 1690 York Co, PA, Married: Elizabeth Musgrave had:
John R Powell 1730 Chester Co PA, Married: Nancy Ann Todd had:
17 Children and at 4 of them were born and lived in and around Guilford, North Carolina.

Thomas's second wife was: Anna Gibbins and they had two sons ? Joseph Powell, 1680 born in England and Thomas Jr, 1684 born in Pennsylvania.
Supposedly a confirmed descendent of that Thomas is living in Oregon, but no one will give a DNA test.

Agree with your Thomas & Wm Penn info. Thomas departed w/3 sons, 1 died
enroute, another was later born. He had two wives, names unk to me.
Wish I could find some Powell, a 'confirmed' descendant of that Thomas and
see his DNA. Best I know now, they not of my line
