Glad you got your answer. Darowen is nearly famous in a few places in Ohio,
as a group of settlers from the llanbrymair area, including a Bebb from
Darowen, emigrated from there and were among the founders of a township
(Venedocia) that still retains much of its Welsh identity. Home page:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/2761/

The other settlers from this trio were called Jervis and Morris. The
website has a link to an article that goes into the history of the Jervis
family, although they couldn't find out much about Mr Morris.

There are several other links which describe the experiences of early Welsh
settlers in Ohio, and are IMO of general Welsh interest.
The Bebb in question was a relative - cousin? of Governor Bebb, not a known
relative of mine (yet, anyway!), and I believe offhand that there are
Hughes and Owen links to the Bebbs of that time and area.

(Llanbrymair is at present the 'home' of the Bebb name in Wales)

Cheers,

Malcolm
