Hi David
PEAVEY and HOLLAND are most definitely NOT Welsh surnames.
Fig 19-7 in the book 'Welsh Family History' - a guide to research (Ed. John
Rowlands) shows that before 1881 a considerable amount of migration
occurred to the South Wales coalfields from Somerset, especially from
around Somerton, Wedmore, Radstock and also from the east Exmoor villages
of Cutcombe, Luxborough and Brompton Regis.
