All fellow Welsh researchers,

I know how you all like solving impossible Welsh Place name problems:))

Many years ago, when researching my Merionethshire roots in Llanbedr Parish
near Harlech, I found the following marriage and have never been able to solve
the problem of the location of Llanfinhangel Grestle. The writing was
unfamilier to me I agree, but I did copy it as best I could from the BT's.

Margaret Wynne b. 1748 the eldest daughter of Robert Wynne and Margaret Evans
of Cefn Y Cymera in Llanbedr Parish married by licence on 21st June 1771
William Williams of Llanfihangel Grestle. There was no other place to give a
clue to another parish or county. I always assumed that it was close by.
Many years of searching through various books of Welsh names, has brought me
no closer to finding this place. Please could someone solve it for me?

Best wishes,
Maureen Jenkins
