Subject: so what do you think about KANATZAR?
Date: Wed, 3 Jun 1998 02:52:39 EDT
Hi folks,
I got this E-mail the other day and was wondering if someone could offer some
feedback or 1881 census info. This woman says KANATZAR is Welsh but I think
not. In fact I couldn't even find the name in any UK phone directories. I'd
bet if they weere in Wales they came from ??? to work the mines. And if they
were around then the 1881 census could contain their existance.
What do you think or know?

Hi Jefferson,
According to what we know which is not alot the name KANATZAR is supposedly
WELSH. I found some notes of my husbands Dad which stated that they were from
the "Upper Area" and came over to this county in or around the 1880's. It was
just my husband's grandfather as a little boy, his brother and the great-
grandfather. Supposedly the story goes that the great-grandfather was
widowed.
Thanks,
