Mike & Ronica

I may be planning a trip to Wales next year. I know that Erwood is
fairly close to Llanbedr-Painscastle and I was wondering if you know how
many cemeteries there are in that general area. We drove from Erwood to
Clyro a couple of years ago. We were on our way from Ystradgynlais to
Redditch and we didn't have time to search for cemeteries. Basically,
all we saw were farms and farmhouses. The next time we go, we'd like to
find the churchyards, cemeteries and a farm called Penbedow. At least,
it was called Penbedow in 1867 when my wife, Audrey's g-mother was
born. I have her birth certificate. On the off chance that you have run
across similar research I submit the following:

Registration District: Clyro
Sub District : Clyro
County of Radnor 1867
# 17/ 5 Feb 1867/ Sarah Ann/ girl/ Father: Thomas PRICE/ Mother Sarah
PRICE,formerly HAINES

Father listed as a farmer's son and the family lived at Penbedow,
Llanbeder, Painscastle.

Further research has led me to Sarah HAINES' parents: James HAINES b.
1807 (who may have had a brother named John) and his wife was another
Sarah PRICE b. 1811.

Art Smith
