Subject: Some TROWs in Montgomery (Help!)
Date: Mon, 1 Nov 1999 19:24:15 EST

I have been studying my TROWs (sounds like complemplation of a pair of long
pants!) and I am wondering if there is any census information that might
confirm a family group and/or shed some additional light.

The IGI Batch C082731 is for Mochdre and seems to cover the years (among
others at the extremes) 1814 to 1831. At least there are TROW christenings
during this interval. Mary TROW b 1820 of George TROW and Sarah seems to have
3 siblings, also born of this couple: Richard- 1814, Jane-1816 and John-1824.
By the census in 1851, Mary is already married to Arthur WILLIAMS in Ceri,
and the mother of 3 boys.

Is there a census for 1841 that would/could still have Mary at home (age 21)
and younger brother John (age 17)? I am looking for some identifying
information on their mother 'Sarah X'. Maybe her town of birth, age,
hope-against-hope, a last name?

The only George TROW in the IGI anywhere near the place was christened 1766
in Ceri which seems to be way, way too early: he'd have been 48 when his
first child was born in 1814.

I can find no records of marriage, either, for a TROW in any of the M-batches
for either Ceri or Mochdre.

Any suggestions where I might search to push back the shade of my ignorance?

TIA
