Hear ye!
My 2xgt grandfather William Woofe farmed at Upper Gaer a few miles from
Welshpool c1818 -1872.
He married Eleanor Smallman of Munslow Shropshire 1818 and the record says
he was from Llanfair.Known children are William 1820, John 1822, Thomas
1827,but I believe there may have been daughters also.
I am trying to find William's place of birth (given as Salop on census), his
parents names and any other children.
Also where can I find records of how he acquired tenancy of his 180 acres?
Would be grateful for any help,
