Griffith Owen is names as head of household, a farmer of 32 acres. He
is married to Jane and they are listed with nine children, Owen age 23 a
farmer's son; Robert age 17 a Slate Quarryman; David age 15 a Farmer's
son; Mary J. age 13 at school; Margaret age 11 at school; Ellen age 9 at
school; Martha age 7 at school; Martha age 7 at school; Richard age 5 at
school and Elizabeth age 3 at school.

found in the 1881 British Census. Ellen Owens, his mother is listed
with the Griffith and Jane Owen family dwelling at Dinas in Llandegai,
Caernarvon, Wales. Hugh Parry is listed with the Richard and Mary Parry
family dwelling at Trer Garth in Llandegai, Caernarvon, Wales. Griffith
Parry had listed in he and Hattie Rees Parry's records that he was from
Dinas, Tregarth, Bangor, Caernarvonshire, Wales. The Parry family was
at Tregarth or Trer Garth and the Owen family was at Dinas. This fact
plus the names of the parents convinces me that I have the correct
families. I believe that Griffith Richard Parry was named after his
grandfathers Griffith Owen and Richard Parry and that Griffith's sister
Mary Jane Parry was named after the grandmothers Mary Parry and Jane

Caernarvon, wales. Mary Jane's gravestone reads, "Blessed are the pure
in heart for they shall see their God."
