Hi Alex,
The workhouse would have been in Knighton and here is an entry from the 1881
census for Ann Davies.
PRO Ref: RG11 Piece 5472 Folio 26 Page 1
Ann Davies Unmarried Age 24 Born Beguildy Radnorshire
General Servant (Domestic)
William B, Davies Son Age 6 months born Knighton Work House Radnorshire.
Powys Archives may hold the records for this Workhouse and their email
address is
remember that some of the records have a 100 year closure on them.
