Apologies for the slightly non gen topic here.
Hi Ruth,
Around 6 months ago I had the same problem with the NLW site ie; locking into
a search and unable to go forward to a new search without the old one
returning. There was a long discussion on the list about this and I also
wrote to NLW webmaster to attempt to find a solution. But all to no avail. I
was then running Windows 98 and shortly after this I changed to Windows ME
and I haven`t had the same problem since. But I have a way around it for you.
For some reason which I can`t explain, your cookies are remembering your
first search and when you go into the ISYS category your cookies are taking
you back. So--- Go to Windows Explorer, select your main drive C:, scroll
down to your Windows folder and open it, scroll down to `Temporary Internet
Files` open it, and there you will see all the cookies. Go to Edit at top of
page and `select all` then go to File and select `delete`. Don`t worry about
deleting them as they are only temp files. Best to restart your PC at this
stage and then off you go. You will probably have to do this each time you
want a new search but what the heck, at least it gets you in there.
Good luck, Keith.
