14 October 2001 - 9:45 AM - Dr. I. D. E. Thomas will be continuing his Welsh
language and culture class at the Welsh Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles,
1153 Valencia Street (just two blocks west of the Convention Center). The
class is lots of fun and hope that all of you can come and join us. This is
also Welsh Emphasis Sunday where the scripture is in Welsh. Dr. Thomas will
be our minister this Sunday. The sermon will e in English. Worship services
start at 11 AM. Te bach will be served afterwards.

4 November 2001 - 11 AM - Dr. Gareth Thomas from the Ebeneser Welsh
Independent Chapel at Rhos near Portardawe, Swansea Valley, Wales will be our
pastor for this morning service.

PM - GYMANFA GANU. This is a hymn singing festival, an event that is still
very much in evidence in Wales as well as the USA. If you have never been to
one of these events, you should come and hear the singing and be a part of
the culture of the little country called Wales. Our conductor will be Rev.
Gareth Thomas. Angharad Lisabeth Rees will be our special soloist. Angharad
is from South Wales. It's her first time in the USA. She has a Performing
Arts Degree from the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. Up until
the age of 12, she was under the guidance of the late Madam Myra Rees of
Cashwchwr, Gorseinon. For the past nine years, Angharad has been under the
tuition of the International Opera singer, Patricia O'Neill. Angharad has
won many awards for her singing. Please come and join us for this very
special day. Welsh Cakes, cookies, tea, coffee and soft drinks will be
served immediately afterwards.) There will be plenty of free parking. Also,
if any of you live in the San Fernando Valley, Conejo, Santa Clarita areas,
you may want to avail yourself of a free bus that will be leaving the First
Presbyterian Church, 10400 Zelzah Avenue in Granada Hills, at 12:30 PM.
There is plenty of free parking for your car. Call Pamela Davies at
1-818-349-4821 for reservations by 1 November 2001. The bus will return you
to your car after the event is over.
