Recently I tied T Jones Parry into Gwlythin's (my wife) Parry family tree. The T was probably for Thomas but this has yet to be confirmed. He was born in Talgarth in about 1852, moved to Abertillery and finally died in Clydach in 1906. He was buried at nearby Llanelly churchyard. He was a County Councillor and a member of the Rechabite Order, reaching the rank of High Chief Ruler of the Order. The only information I have on him at the moment is from the report of his death and subsequent funeral report in the Brecon and Radnor Express. My wife had heard no talk about him in the family; perhaps they had disowned him because of his temperence views!
I am sure there must be more information available somewhere about such a man. Can any lister point me towards any other sources of information other than the two reports mentioned above. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Norman
