I have the 1851 Census for Montgomeryshire (CD pub. by the Powys FHS) and
have looked for any HUGHES family in Llanwyddyn who came from Bala, but no
results. Is it possible Bala was a generalized reference point? Can you
give us a few more details (i.e. forenames, approx. years of birth,
occupations)?
