I'm hoping that one of our members living in Wales can give me some advice.

Several months ago there was a message on the list about being able to get 1837-1841 birth registrations from the Welshpool and Llanfyllin Register Office at the Powys county offices in Welshpool. Accordingly, I sent a snail mail inquiry and received a positive e-mail response from Mrs. Meryl Edwards of that office asking for 13 GBP for the certificates. I got the cashier's check and posted it on June 21.

Hearing nothing I sent an e-mail to Mrs.Edwards on July 11 and again on July 29. I still have heard nothing.

Does anyone have any contact with this office that could inquire what the trouble is? I don't even know whether the check arrived.
