Hello Darris,

Yes, I am delighted there is the Internet; I would not be a member of the mail lists
if I didn't think so.

And I am delighted that you had the joy of visiting the library and reading about our chosen
interest. I do regret that library use is declining.

Far from complaining about the time I spent, they were some of the best hours spent with old
friends and new friends I made at the library, and I am not complaining about the FREE availability
of information. Society members wouldn't spend such long hours transcribing information if it
wasn't intended to be spread amongst researchers. I am more than happy to answer any mail and
give what information I have.

I am not criticizing those who ask questions, we have all done so at different times; however, I was
suggesting that some questions might receive a better and more constructive answer if the basic
instructions had been read and followed first.

Today on another list a member asked if there were guides on how to trace the family, because until
now they had been unsuccessful; if that questiuon had been asked earlier perhaps they would have
saved a lot of time.

Good luck with your contiunued research,

C. Foster.
