> Hallo Hugh,

I was very interested in your web site, especially the book in Llanfilo
Church as Walter Maddy and William Maddy are my family, not quite sure what
relationship but the Maddys were quite a substantial force in Llanfilo
around that time. My great grandfather was married in the Church in 1832,
His name was Evan Maddy. Have been to the graveyard twice in the last two
years but the Maddy graves are rather difficult to read. Have tried to get
information from the Vicar (Canon) but he is not answering me.

My great great grandmother on my paternal grandfather's side was a
Mainwaring whose grandmother was a Vaughan but they came from Llanedi and
Llanon in Carmarthenshire. I have a family tree back to the 1600's.

Thank you for the web site. If you turn anything up on Maddys in your
search for Vaughans please let me know.

Best wishes,

Sue in Suffolk.
