Where is Tddyn y Garreg, Co Merionthshire, Wales located? Or does it
still exist? My ancestors were supposed to have emigrated from there

map I can find.

Dear John,
The name you are quoting is a misspelling of Tyddyn y Garreg, which is
probably the name of a property or small farm rather than a place. You
really need to find in which parish it is situated. Tyddyn y Garreg may
be abbreviated to "Ty'n y Garreg".
The county name is Merionethshire (you omitted a letter 'e'), which has
been part of the county of Gwynedd since 1974.
There is a map of Merionethshire on the Tallis's Topographical
Dictionary feature on my website. From
http://home.clara.net/wales/tallis/index.htm follow the 'maps' link.
The most appropriate mailing list is the Gwynedd list. Send your
