Hi Viv,
I have just looked at the list of abbreviations on the 1881 Census CDRoms
and sp = spouse. On the Montgomeryshire 1851 CDRom, sd=stepdaughter and
ss=stepson so could sp possible mean step parent.

Yard. I have not work out how Humphrey Brown and John Brown are related to
my G Grandmother. on the census my G Grandfather David Edwards and Mary nee
Brown, had sons and daughter also Humphrey and David with sp what sp means I
don't know. On Humphrey marriage certificate to Margaret Jarman is dad name
was John Brown, also on the 1881 census living with my G Grandmother was her
Grandson and Granddaughter there names was Brown. The question I have to
find out was these David Brown children or did one of her daughter married a
Brown. confused I am I have to send for one of there birth certificate to
find out let you know.
