My wife's family has long understood that they are related to a LEWIS Family
that descended from Caradoc. In more recent history they have lived in
Abergavenny, Rhayader, and prior to that in Ty Mawr, Dany Parc, Crickhowell.
This info is from an old letter that we have a copy of.
We have letters that also state that there was a family marriage of a Walter
LEWIS to a Rebecca LEWIS in approximately 1750. I have a copy of Walter
LEWIS' Will which agrees with other family information that I have about
them in letter form. This Walter LEWIS was of llanwenarth Ultra in his will
and owned much land in and around Abergavenny and Crickhowell.
The Rebecca LEWIS is daughter of John LEWIS of Ty Mawr, Dany Parc (so states
the letter we have a copy of).
I am wondering if there is anyone that is likely to know anything about
these families, and if anyone knows where Ty Mawr, Dany Parc is?
Thank you
Garth
